Memories are deeply personal. Life Legacy is designed to give families control, keep private material private, and use personal information only to provide the service.

What we collect
We collect information you provide when creating an account, memorial, order or enquiry. This can include names, contact details, dates, relationships, stories, photographs, videos, plaque details and billing records.
Why we use it
We use information to operate memorials, fulfil plaque orders, moderate contributions, provide support, issue invoices, protect accounts and improve the service. We do not sell family information or use memorial content for advertising.
Who can see it
Public memorial information is visible to visitors when the controlling family chooses public access. Drafts and administrative information require authorised access. A memorial administrator controls contributors and publication.
Storage and protection
Account access is authenticated, private photographs are served through access-controlled routes, and significant administrative actions are logged. No internet service can promise absolute security; we monitor safeguards and limit access to what each role needs.
Retention
We retain content while the service is active and as needed for legal, security and accounting purposes. Export and continuity controls form part of our permanence programme.
Your choices and POPIA rights
You may ask to access, correct, export or delete personal information, subject to legal retention and the rights of other contributors. You may withdraw optional communication consent at any time. South African users may also complain to the Information Regulator.
